With Spring getting ever closer, it’s time to see how your winter training has paid off, throughout the year members of OKCC will be present at a variety of different events, ranging from sportives, time trials, road races and charity rides. We hope that you will join us on some of these dates. We have compiled a list of dates that we feel might be of interest and this is available on our club Facebook page.
With the ever growing popularity of sportives, this season at Okehampton Cycling Club we will be running our own in house sportive series, they will have a couple of different route options and to be included in the series you must be on Strava. A small entry fee will include a pasta buffet style lunch at the Pavillion in the Park at Okehampton.

EVENT: Rollapaluza Roller Racing
As the weather is improving and evenings are getting longer, our Summer Time Trial series rolls around once again, this will be a 12 week series, running on the 10 mile course from Bridestowe to Lewdown and back. A friendly atmosphere is guaranteed with a large range of abilities present on a weekly basis, they run on a Tuesday evening, sign on begins at 6.30pm and the first rider will be off at 7.01pm. Cost is £3 for OKCC members, and £4 for members of other CTT affiliated clubs.

3rd May, 10th May, 17th May, 24th May, 31st May, 7th June, 21st June, 5th July, 12th July, 19th July, 26th July & 2nd August.

As our club is continuing the grow, our weekly rides are proving as popular as ever, with large numbers turning up week in week out, in all weathers! A big thank you to all who have helped with the growth and come along to any of our events.
We have ran several club sportives through the year raising money for the club, with this money raised we hope to have be able to run some winter training sessions for club members with some specialist equipment to try and get the biggest benefit possible from the sessions, keep posted on our website and Facebook page for the updates of this.
As a whole club we were very happy to welcome back Tim Bridgman to the club who the last few years has been cycling around the world raising money for Shelterbox UK and having his own adventure, we are pleased to have Tim in the club and we all look forward to hearing more about his adventures.
